Selected Works from Soul Landscapes

The idea for Soul Landscapes first emerged while painting M.’s portrait for a New Year’s gift, and upon discovering the swirling tattoo in the middle of her chest. Wondering what it meant to her, it eventually led to the question: if a soul could be seen, how would it manifest on canvas? Is this what she looks like inside? The idea only strengthened in concept upon the discovery of her apparent enjoyment of colorful liquid surfaces. The result is a constellation of abstract forms and chromatic currents, alluding to both water and space—each piece serving as an imagined glimpse into the unseen essence within all of us.
