Emerging in the aftermath of In Walking Distance, the Hidden Principle series was born from nightly pilgrimages to a small shrine in the general area of Shimotakaido. There, the creator would sit down for self-reflection and to process the feelings stirred by the emotional journey that had led to the creation of In Walking Distance. While Hidden Principle still carries forward the emotional terrain of the previous series, it eventually broadens its scope to encompass the full tapestry of his Tokyo experience. Here, personal reflection meets the city’s often overlooked quiet spirituality, inviting viewers to discover the unseen forces and emotions that guide us through our everyday landscapes.
